The only thing I'd change, or improve is probably a better word, is the consistency of the painting quality. A lot are perfect, but I do see quite a few with dodgy paint jobs!

I kinda wish their arms and legs joints had a bit more movement.

- Sometimes they have one leg longer than the other, so they stand up pretty weirdly... So yeah, fix that. - Wacky paintjobs. - Better distribution. - New head mold for the larges, similar to mediums.

I've been very happy with them as a whole, but if I were in charge of design, I'd tell them to not put mismatched colors on the arms and legs. LOL! It drives me crazy. For example: Webina. I think she'd be even nicer looking if all her limbs were black, instead of having one arm and one leg pink. I guess I like things symmetrical. There are exceptions for me, though. I think Ty Foon's mismatched arms and legs look nice.

Oh yes definitely this. I also think they either need to increase the amount of the rares or make it somehow easier to get them. As zelfs get more popular it's only going to get harder and harder to find them. The distribution is bad enough. I see collectors and parents & kids getting tired and frustrated to the point of quitting collecting over hunting those. I know I'm pissed at never feeling like I even had a chance at Jewely. I check TRU once a week. It barely got any series 2.

I keep having to tell her over and over that I just can't find them. If I ever see them on the TRU site, I'll get them, but my stores here are always sold out of the mediums, and I've never seen a rare one here. Apparently there are other people in my area who like Zelfs, too. And I wont pay eBay prices for them.

My only wish is that they weren't so hard to find.

I've actually been quite lucky and have noticed any bad paintjobs or legs being short than the other.
I'm all for better distribution though. I don't have many stores I can buy zelfs in and have NEVER seen a rare in store which is really sad. I know there rare and luckily for me I'm not trying to collect them all but it would be nice if there was an easier way to obtain the rares. A ticket for spending so much on zelfs or something of that sorta nature so they remain rare but are obtainable more easily.

As someone who does a lot of marketing for her own job, I completely understand the idea of chase figures to promote and drive interest in a toy line, so I don't expect the rares to be more available. The whole point of chase figures is that they are very tough to get, that is what makes people talk about the toy line with their friends and with other collectors. And generating hype these days is a large portion of sales for things like this. However, I also understand the other side of things too. I've seen so many people posting on the Zelf Facebook page about how upset their kids are that they can't have Clover or Jewely, and that makes me sad. A toy line should be there for the kids, not for the adult collectors who want rare figures. As for myself, if I could influence the toy line I'd like the paint jobs to be a little more carefully layered. I've passed on quite a few Zelfs in the store that I would have liked to own because of the bad paint jobs, and because of poor distribution I never see that character again.

I think I would like think to be a it more .... I guess even with the rare figures. US might only get Zelfs in one store, but I have heard stories of those stores having tons of the rare Zelf in. UK .. it's mail-away. While - like Dragonflitter said - I understand the need for rare figures to drive up the marketing, it is sad to hear of little kids who'd really looked forward to getting this one Zelf unable to get hold of it Also; I'd have a look into who puts the Zelfs together - arm, leg and head wonk are things that I've seen.

The scented Zelfs. They just seem so poor compared to other scented toys, despite their designs being so adorable.
I honestly don't mind the rare toys, even though it's a pain. There's always going to be toys that kids can't get their hands on for one reason or another, and more often than not, I would imagine those kids want it more because they can't find it as opposed to it being their favorite. Of course, it's a shame for those kids who really do love Jewely and co more than the others.
Having said that, I know that when I was a kid and I found something that was rare or HTF the excitement of finally getting one was intense! And if I didn't get it - Well, I had other toys. But that's just me, I guess.

Bad paint jobs and glue splashes. I've passed over Flamy and Pega Sue because of dodgy paint and glue everywhere, and haven't seen them since
