So I'm thinking we could have a weekly thread, where we choose a Zelf to promote, and post pics, or stories, or tell how how we got that particular Zelf, who we ship them with, maybe drawings/artwork or photo's of the zelf in different locations (for all those budding photographers out there) or anything you want really. What do y'all think? Maybe one of us starts it off, and nominates another forum member each week (maybe sundays) to choose a new zelf and then we all contrbute to the Zelf of the Week (from monday through til sunday) I'm not quite sure the logistics of it so maybe we just run with it and see how it turns out? (Perhaps it has to rotate S1, S2, S3 and Specials (Zelicious, Masquerades, BFF's. Rare's) so week 1 is a Zelf from Series1, week 2 is Zelf from Series2 etc, so we don't use up all the Zelfs at once? One Zelf a week, for 52 weeks) If you all think its a good idea, maybe I'll start a thread later on today???  |

Have to agree that sounds a brilliant idea so long as a zelf already featured can't be repeated so all zelfs get their turn in the spotlight. It may even help the more unloved zelfs grow on collecters that didn't really like them that much before. |

I LOVE this idea!!! Sounds like fun, and it would be particularly fun if people posted photos in the thread. Only, perhaps we should ask forum members to volunteer to start the Zelf Of The Week (ZOTW?) thread and then post a schedule that lists their names, that way no one gets nominated to post a Zelf of the Week if they aren't interested in doing it, or if they'll be out of town that week. (For example, the schedule could say "Week of Aug. 17-23: Catsby, Week of Aug. 24-30: Violet" (using the names of the forum members who will begin the ZOTW thread.) Plus, it would give some people a little time to prepare, in case they wanted to take some pictures. And then whatever forum member begins the thread can choose which Zelf he/she wants to showcase. I nominate Catsby to begin the first ZOTW thread, since it was Catsby's idea.  Oh, and by the way, I volunteer to participate! |

Yeah, that's okay. No repeat Zelfs. Once a Zelf is the Zelf of the Week, that's it for them unless we go into a recycle? I'm not sure about who picks the Zelfs though, how do we keep it fair? I'm concerned it might get confusing or chaotic, and there may be people who aren't on the forums so much, I quite like the idea of it being a secret - maybe people are contacted via PM from the previous picker? Also some people may end up choosing more often than others, and will pick their favourites, not random enough and some might choose a different series if we do it (S1,S2,S3,Extras on cycle per month seems ok to me)? Advice please? Edit - Sorry Violet, i was in the middle of typing this when you posted so i didn't see it first! |

Okey dokes, so the schedule go likes this so far.... Thread name - Zelf of the Week (insert name) (Week 1 - 18th-24th August - Catsby) S1 (Week 2 - 25th -31st August - Pegasue) S2 (Week 3 - 1st - 7th September - Frostette) S3 (Week 4 - 8th - 14th September - Violet) Ex If you want to volunteer for this, just add your name to this thread and I'll keep updating the schedule. We can start it from monday, that gives me a couple of days, and also people can put their names on here in the meantime. If there is no person scheduled for a particular week or someone can't do it for whatever reasons, let me know and I'll sort something! |

Maybe a fair way of keeping it a bit more fair would be to not allow the user that has just picked the feature zelf, to be able to pick again for another 3 weeks (or longer). I.e. Catsby starts us off on week 1 but can't be chosen to pick the next ZOTW until at least 3 weeks has passed. That way there's a bit more rotation.

Yes, this thread is now just for discussing the Zelf of the week in general, or asking about dates etc or who's doing what?
General stuff really. And the individual threads are for specific Zelfs, saves us keep changing the title each week.

Oh I see. Erm, I guess there's nothing stopping you adding to each Zelf thread, even if the week is over. As we are only featuring that particular Zelf the ONCE until we run out of Zelfs, so if you have pics and stuff to add then feel free!
So long as the featured Zelf of the Week is the main talking point of the week though, as that would be unfair if its featured and people are only talking about last weeks or whatever!?! Does that make sense? :s

I only have one 'special' Zelf, which would mean I'd have to do that one, since it's the only special one I have. I was hoping I could choose one more randomly. It would make it more fun for me if I could choose the Zelf I want to do, rather than have to do that one special-release Zelf.  |

I'm easy either way. You can choose any Zelf then to be Zelf of the Week Vi! (but once they're gone they can't be put up again, until all have had their chance in the spotlight!) I've posted the new ZotW thread. Maybe Violet could do Series 1 and the specials (S2 Masquerade, S3 Zelicious & BFFs) can be counted alongside the series release to still keep the pattern going? That would also mean Catsby gets to pick from series 2, Pega sue series 3 and I'd go to series 1 and so on.. until we have more volunteers. |
