Just starting a healthy discussion, who do you consider the 'leader' of the Zelfs? Do you have a chosen one, who rules all of Zardenia? Do the series 1 have one, while the 2nd series have another? Do you divide the Zelfs by genre? Do the 'insects' have one particular head honcho, while the 'nature' Zelfs have another?? Are there seperate clans in your headcanons? Do you consider some to be ancient or some to be the younger Zelflings??? I am writing some Zelf short stories, and in 'my' world, there are a group of Zelfs called the Elder Zelfs who have been around for a very long time. The eldest is a Zelf called Grandfather Time, who looks over them all, he is the only Zelf to have a beard as well as white hair, a robe and a walking stick. He carries a pocket watch, and writes the history scrolls. He is a kindly old fellow, who treats all Zelfs as equal and no matter how old or important, everyone has an equal say. I also consider Pegasue, Spellinda, Birchy, Jewely, Webina, Pandela and Manny to be quite important, maybe heads of clan - mythological, fantasy, nature, rare, insects, and animal. I like this discussion idea. I don't have a chosen one to rule all of Zardenia, however, I think when I eventually get Marsha, it will probably be her as my only large. xD I don't consider zelfs to be older than others really. I'm sure a few are older and a few are younger but it's not something I've really thought about. I definitely divide my zelfs into categories though. Nature = Birchy his cousin Elfa and her BF (and Birchy's BFF) Snap Jack. If I owned Clover she'd be in this group too as Birchy's crush. Good Girls = Lunanne, Pega Sue & Float. Angelala & Cupie are in this group too but I don't own them yet and although male, Ty Foon is also attached to them because of him being Float's brother and because he gets on well with Lunanne. Angelala is the "leader" which I use loosly because she's not the bossy type. Swimmers = Currently only consists of cousins Sealia & Mermalade right now as that's all I own. Flamy is a good friend of Mermalades but he kinda floats between groups. Rebels = Dolly, Vampula & Webina with Vamps and Webby dating. Sweeties - Chocolaa & Frostette. I have headcanons for a few others too but figured I shouldn't name too many of the one's I don't own and ofcourse there are a few zelfs that aren't really in a group that just kinda float between. (Such as Dandy but if I owned Snowpie and Catsby then they'd certainly be a trio) Anything else you want to know? |

My daughter and I were thinking something similar to you, Catsby! Basically, the zelfs tend to form clans with a leader, a bodyguard type, a scribe, etc. The series 1 characters are all one clan (no set leader yet), and the series 2 zelfs are in a clan run by Birchy. The Zelicious are their own clan, and series 3 I'm thinking may be run by the butterfly trio. The three rares are part of an ancient semi-immortal clan that zelfs get elevated to when they do something extraordinary for zelfkind, so they're kinda like demi-gods.
I absolutely adore your Grandfather Time character, Catsby!

I love reading people's different interpretations of things, all interesting thoughts and ideas! I especially like some of the details people get into, like your groups Marsha, the good girls and the rebels etc etc! And the feline group makes me want Moose to make more (panther/leopard/bengal tiger anyone?) Pega your elevated rare's sounds most intriguing and I'd love to hear your stories if you have time to post in the fan-fic section some day??? Awwww thanks! I'm thinking he might be my 'rare' Zelf in my Customs 3.5 Series! Lol. With regards to younger Zelfs, I think Pega said she saw Lil D, Ribbita and Snap Jack as younger ones, which make sense to me. I would also possibly say Flitter, Catsby, Billy, Float, Chi and Sugar Bunny also??? I kinda always see the S1 Zelfs as all the same age, like teenage in Zelf years! How bizarre my mind works!?! |

Somewhere along the way, I started thinking of Lunanne as the leader of my Zelf clan, with Garny as her mate/husband (Garny is male, here.) Yes, it's a female-dominated society. LOL!

I think Lunanne is a good choice for a leader, if they ever made a Sun Fairy Zelf as well that would be great! Zardenia ruled by the sun and the moon! Lol.

Hmm, during zeries 1 I was saying it was Miss Clover due to her more rare nature and... yeah, I'm sort of sticking with that in my head. The 'rare' Zelfs are the rulers (sort of) of Zardenia, though it doesn't necessarily have rulers as such. It just has people who are around to help solve problems and since every Zelf has their own special power, every Zelf is able to contribute towards making their home a good place to live.

Starkle - I would love a sun zelf to go along side Lunanne! Also bought Marsha from CO. They finally got her in. So went ahead and bought her and my 3 rebels to get free postage. So my first large and "Zelf leader" will soon be here Yay! Am glad you managed to get Marsha, Marsha!!! Which 'rebels' did you also get? I'm still in two minds about getting more larges, I currently have 4 of the 6 newbies, and a S1 Spellinda, and am debating whether or not I want any more larges (of series 1 and 2) If any of you have read my stories, I have kinda settled on the 'Elder Clan' being the leaders of Zardenia (a group of 11 Zelfs). Although I did have a cool idea which I may use in the next couple of stories, which goes in a different direction altogether, so we'll see! Lol. |
