So, who's from the MLP Arena, who is from the MH arena, who hangs at both (ME!) ... and has anyone come from someplace else?

I spend mos tmy time on the MH Arena, but started on the MLP Arena years ago. On the MLP Arena I mostly hang out in Off Topic and the Dollhouse.
I don't post much on either, but I'm there lol Same username, too!

I've been a member of MLP Arena since 2005, I think? Lots of good times and good memories there. I'm haven't been actively collecting ponies for several years, so I haven't been posting too much.
I haven't gotten around to joining MH Arena, since I fizzled out on Monster High really fast, and haven't collected in a while now.

I visit both but wouldn't claim either, maybe MHArena.
I was somewhat banished from the MLPArena a few years ago. I posted spiritual/new age things and that violated their rules, so out I went. I don't like to think in the box and I don't think others should either but now I know I shouldn't put my viewpoints on a web forum for MLP. :/
I've been scorned by the MLP fandom. I was one of the first male collectors, before "Bronies" became a thing, and I'm not going to lie I'm a little bitter, but eh!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience on the Arena, Webina! For the record, I think it's awesome that you've been a MLP collector for such a long time! One of my dear friends IRL is a guy who is really into G1 ponies and I adore being able to ponynerd with him. I'm on the MLP Arena quite a bit, and I pop into MHArena a bit, but I've been kinda holding off on getting more Monster High dolls lately, because I started late and the price of the older signature dolls (I only get the sigs) are SO FRIKKIN' HIGH, and I'd rather focus on my two big collections (LPS and Zelfs) |

I'm midnight mocha at MLPArena- also, I am sorry to hear that Webina  I've made a few enemies on that site for not agreeing with the hive mind, either- I do have lots of good friends there too, though. I don't hang out there much anymore because I'm not much of a pony collector anymore. Despite being a female collector I don't get he rampant 'us vs them' mentality that seems to persist with older gen collectors (I love older gens btw), so it kinda turned me off. |

*hugs Webina* You're not the first one to have issues with the way the Arena handles things, my friend. In fact I've had very lengthy conversations (private pm's) with some other Arena members about certain mods and forum staff and how they treat people...... but I won't go into that in a public forum like this.  Suffice to say, you're not alone! (On the plus side I've NEVER known any forum online where total strangers help out each other as much as they do on the Arena. There's been many times someone has gone out of their way to mail me something or find me some info online and asked nothing in return! There's a lot of good people on there. ) Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself! ^.^ I found this Zelf forum thanks to the Arena! I've been on the Arena since 2003, when I was wandering in a store after getting off work at my summer job and spotted a familiar thing on a shelf... a MLP! (G3 Starbeam to be exact.) I had no idea MLP's were back, but I fondly remembered them from my childhood. When I got home I google searched for My Little Ponies and found the Arena! I've been there ever since. (The FiM fandom still continues to amaze and worry me...never thought my childhood obsession could be shared with so many other people.) As for the MH Arena, I joined over there to chat with collectors, even though I have a huge doll phobia and would never buy a MH or EA doll, but I love the idea of a high school full of monsters and/or fairy tale characters! ^.^ I like to look at their character designs and watch the webisodes! I'll have to chime in about the MLP Arena and the mods. I went on a long hiatus there partially because a friend there was so insulted by the mods she closed her account. I became great friends with this lady after a swap that we we even chatted on the phone together. She is a sweet person and didn't deserve that at all. So I also have some bitterness against the Arena, though I still post there. It's my favorite forum.

Wow! Yes I'm not alone!!
I can understand I can be a little controversial, but they made me feel like a was a scammer or something.
4 years ago the MLP Fair was in the city I was born in I wanted to go but was scared I'd be shunned.
Of course that's the year the introduced G4 gosh to have been a male collector at the Fair that started G4 heck is probably be a celebrity by now

I've never had issues with Mods at the MLP Arena... but that's probably because I've NEVER been a huge poster there. Much less so now than ever - I'm not into FiM or G4's, and I really don't have much to say about the other gens beyond "oooh, pretty". Then again, I do the same thing on MH arena, but they at least get a tiny bit more convo out of me, sometimes  Unfortunately, it means I'm apt to be quiet here, even though I'd love to be part of things. |
