Hi Zelfies! My name is Dragonflitter, and I'm on the east coast, USA!
My growing Zelf collection is slow because of lack of availability. In my small state there's only two TRU stores, and the second one is over three hours away. So basically I only have one store I check weekly to look for new Zelfs. I never buy them online because I'm such a picky collector. I want to make sure the markings are printed perfectly on each Zelf I take home! ^_^
I'm an avid girls toy collector, and I've been collecting toys for over a decade. It all started with My Little Ponies, for me. I own 300+ MLP's. After ponies I moved on to Breyers (yup, I'm a horse loving girl lol). Zelfs were the first non-horse toy I started collecting. I'm a little young to have joined in on the Troll craze of the 80's, so it's not nostalgia for me, it's all about how cute the little Zelfs are!
Right now my collection is made up entirely of Medium Zelfs. I'm not a fan of the tiny Zelfs, and I don't like the Large size ones either. (There's something about the head sculpt that turns me off, I think it's the wide lower jaw.) But starting with Series 3, we're going to get some Large characters that aren't available as Mediums!
I'm not surprised, since I think the Large size sales are pretty poor and that is the best way for the company to boost sales, but I am disappointed. I might cave in and start collecting the Large size as well. The Ballerina and the Chinese Dragon are particularly adorable!
