I know there's been some talk of the Zelicious Zelfs lately, but has anyone got a scent that's... Already gone?
My Frostette's coffee scent has pretty much gone. I haven't dipped her in water, left her outside, or anything. On the contrary, she's fairly enclosed next to the other toys on my computer desk. I have other scented toys, and, excluding G1 MLPs, they all have fairly strong scents despite being over a year old. It's been a little over 24 hours since I removed her from the packet.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Hm, my Chocolaa's scent has gone down quite a lot, but there's the faintest trace. 'Course, I have hayfever at the moment so I don't know if I'm the best person to ask.

Likewise, I bought 4 of the Zelicious yesterday (Chocolaa, Frostette, Bubblee and Buttershy) and whilst Frostette and Buttershy didnt have particularly strong scents, I have noticed that today they are even fainter. Beetrice, whom I have had for about a month smells as strong as she did when I got her and my two fave scents Choccy and Bubblee still smell the same! Strange!?!

I bought the last two I needed of the Zelicious Zelfs, Vampula and Spellinda. Strawberry Vampula smells great, but Minty Spellinda has also faded after one day!

So, I completed my Zelicious collection today and either I have a factory error Bubblee with Vampula's scent or they smell really, REALLY similar!

I washed Cocolaa omg she smelled yucckk Does the washing help? =D Yes, and no. The hair still smells, faintly, but still smells. His body not so much, which makes me conclude that it's a somewhat oil or something. While washing her I could feel the slime or whatever come off with water

The only one that really bothered me (I do have a stupidly weak sense of smell though, mostly I can't smell at all) was the honey smell, it was soooooo strong. But they have all died off a lot now

o.0 Wow I'm surprised to read this thread! MLP's from the 80's still smell, and my G3 MLP's from the early 2000's still smell too. I'm surprised Moose Inc. didn't use the same system Hasbro uses for their smelly toys. Hmm maybe it's a trade secret!

Is anyone now thinking of keeping their Zelicious Zelfs MIB to see if that holds in the scent?

I just found Zelicious today (got Chocolaa, Bubblee, Frostette & Vampula)and after opening them, I kinda hope the scent fades fast. I'm not really a fan of the scent on any of them sadly. I've got them sitting in front of a fan faced out the door at the moment trying to tone it down. They are still super cute though.

My scented zelfs (Frostette and Chocola) I received on Wednesday and they still have their scent. Kinda wish Frostette had faded because it's not that pleasant, however you can't really smell it unless your nearby.

O.M.Z. I hope they DO fade quickly! I just bought Chocolaa and Frostette AND THEY STINK! >.< WOW. Me and my friend were laughing in the car because she went with me to TRU and she thinks the Zelfs are cute but when I opened Frosette she ordered me to put her back in her package and put the package back in the plastic bag and hide the plastic bag under the car seat. XD WOW Moose you failed... these smell really bad.
(Actually it's just Frosette, Chocolaa isn't that bad. I know everyone says she smells like coffee but it doesn't smell like coffee to me, it actually smells like unsweetened chocolate. Not like a Hershey bar but like the coco powder you bake with? Baker's chococlate, ya know? Yeah...)

My Chocolaa arrived today, and her scent is very subtle. I have to hold her right up to my nose to smell anything, which means that I get this mixed combination of chocolate and plastic scents, which isn't very appealing. I'm not disappointed with her at all, though. She is very cute!

Just popping back in with another update--the smell fades VERY quickly in my experience. Both Chocoaa and Frosette's scents have almost completely faded for me. When I first opened them, their smell filled my entire car and I couldn't get away from it. After one a day or two I can no longer smell them unless I hold them right up to my nose.
Not complaining, since the strong smell was very much a turn-off for me. They smell terrible. XD Good thing they look so cute!

I'm actively trying to get mine's scent to fade (leaving them in open places, or in front of a fan, etc. during the day) and I can still smell them when I walk into my toy room after putting them in there overnight. It's been only a week I've had them though. I'm pretty sensitive to smells though too I've noticed compared to a lot of people. It is getting weaker than when I first opened them. I'm thinking of wiping them down with a damp towel to see if it helps but I'm a bit afraid of getting them wet.

For those who WANT the scents to fade:
I wonder if their scents would fade faster if you put them in a paper bag with some baking soda, or a laundry dryer sheet. I wouldn't let either of those things actually touch the vinyl directly, though. I don't know what contact with those items would do to the vinyl. Probably just airing them out outside might help, but you wouldn't want to leave them in the sun for long, either.

All mine now smell like Bubblee, my bedroom smells like Bubblee...good job I love her smell!
I had a toy years ago that stank, I washed it over with a baby wipe and that got rid of the majority of the smell. Not sure how it would work on hair though.
