I've made a few posts already so I figured I best introduce myself and thought I would share my Zelf story.
I saw the promo pics for series 1 and 2 and thought they were adorable but for some reason didn't really get into them until much more recently.
It was like I just woke up one day and suddenly I was hooked just like that. I'd suddenly got favourites and had made up my mind I had to buy one!
On June 19th I went into Argos for my first zelf. I was presented with Lunanne and Pegasue which was a pleasant surprise as I figured I was too late for any series 1. Both Lunanne and Pegasue were originally in my 'maybe' pile as I wasn't sure if I wanted them. However on seeing them in person, they instantly jumped ahead into favourites. (Originally Angelala, Lil D, Mermalade and Flamy were my top 4 with Elfa also in the maybe category. Now my favourite 4 -minus Clover ofcourse- are Angelala, Lunanne, Pegasue and Elfa though I still need Angel and Elfa and the rare Clover.) Sadly one was on reserve so I couldn't take both home so I decided on Lunanne and the cashier joked that the reserver would probably want the blue one now. That's quite possible or maybe they wanted S2 as a few days later I went back and PegaSue was still there so I took her home where she was reunited with Lunanne.
I then made a trip to ASDA on my zelf hunt and found one of my favourite series 2 Zelfs - Birchy! He was tucked away right at the back and I had to have him. My other favourite- Snapjack wasn't there so I came home with one of my maybes - Dandy-Lion and my first lil zelfs. (Pearl and Glitter Catsbys.) Slightly disappointing with them being the same character but at least different finishes. Little did I know I'd soon give up on S2 lil zelfs because of yet more Catsby. Did manage to get lil Dorothy Doe first though.
Then just the other week, trips to Argos resulted in CATSBY! (I LOVE cats and blue and purple are some of my favourite colours but after the lil zelf "luck" I definetly wasn't wanting him. XD I made another trip to ASDA and found Masquerade Mermalade (Plus a bunch of S2s I wasn't interested in) and found S3 lil zelfs! Figured I'd get 2 because "at least I can't get Catsby again!" XD I ended up with lil Chi and Lullaby! So happy they were different... and both pearl!
Then yesterday, after seeing a post on here about character-online giving free shipping to UK orders of £25+, I finally decided to buy my favourite S3 (avaliable) Zelfs online - Sealia, Float & Ty Foon. With Frostette and Chocolaa (the only 2 scented ones I want because I love their designs) to get the free shipping. xD Ty Foon actually wasn't one of my favourites to begin with, but just like Elfa, the more pics I saw, the more I fell for him and now he's right up there! Plus I need him for Float!
So... that's my Zelf story so far.
