I don't mean why you like you favourite Zelf. I mean have you noticed a pattern in the Zelfs you tend to favour? i.e. Girly zelfs VS more masculine-looking zelfs. Realisitic VS fantasty , Dark VS light, animal types, nature types, finned or winged or maybe you just go for a certain colour or colours etc. I've noticed I tend to favour winged Zelfs like Angelala, Lunanne, Miss Clover and Pega Sue and all winged Zelfs of series 3. Obviously there are some acceptions as Buttershy, Garny & Vampula (though her strawberry version has been growing on me recently) with the winged Zelfs of series 2 aren't really up there, but obviously I still like some more than others. I've also noticed I tend to favour white and blue based zelfs and that there's more of a 50/50 balance when it comes to pink or nature zelfs. So... how about you? Which Zelfs do you tend to favour?  |

Darker colored Zelfs, fantasy Zelfs, natured-themed Zelfs... I'm biased towards those kinds. I guess masculine-looking Zelfs are another type I tend to favor.
The only type of light colored Zelfs I really love would have to be when the Zelf is pure white, or a light shade of green or blue.

I like the Zelfs best when they look like little goblins or fairies. The further they get from that look, the less I like them. Garny is one of my favorites because he has that look.

I must admit I like the zelfs that are based on mythological creatures (witches,unicorns,loch ness monster,dragons and vampires etc) and nature/weather(elfa,birchy,snap jack) or insect/fairy like (lady b, beetrice,flitter,garny,petal,cupie) more than the ones that just look like real animals with hair (Pandela, Chi, Billy, etc) unless they make the colours more bold/daring like Webina or Catsby. But overall I pretty much like all of them so far! But as I'm a completist, I will buy them all regardless! I'm just a Zelf addict at heart! |

I favor the nature themed and animal themed zelfs. I like green and purple zelfs.

My collection features a lot of the green Zelfs (with pink ones coming in at a close second) and also ones with wings.

Also, blue Zelfs tend to be my favourites (Mermalade, Snap Jack). Though I'm not really into Sealia (Manny perharps, who's turquoise... Does that counts ?) |

I usually gravitate towards the Zelfs that have an animal or nature theme.
Also overall aesthetic of the zelf and design I take in account.
I also do take in account for colour but overall I just go with how balanced a Zelf looks to me. Distribution of color and facial features.

Hm, I haven't noticed anything in particular that would set certain Zelfs apart from me. It tends to be based on their 'theme' more than anything; though I do seem to have a liking for the blue ones, and more often than not I will be surprised at how much I like a pink Zelf. Like others I also enjoy the mythology based ones.

I really like the mythology & nature/weather ones. I also really like the blue zelfs. So far though I've just gone and bought my favorites out of the selection available. Funnily enough 4/6 of my zelfs have the droopy ear mold. Maybe it's something I love and hadn't realized yet!

I also noticed all my favorites have big droopy ears (Garny, Float, Lady B, Ty Foon, etc.). I'll pretty much buy any Zelf with big floppy ears.  |

I like the dragon-esque zelfs and and fish-like zelfs the most! I love scaley animals and I think they are the absolute cutest in zelf forme!!! Sealia, Lochan, and Noodles are some of my top favorites!
I also love Float for her eyes and body colors. Kitsu is another favorite because he is oriental-themed. The medium sizes are my absolute favorite as far as quality l, appearance, and size. I wish Marsha would be made in medium. *sigh*

I collect 3 themes: the zelfs based on mythological creatures. It's hard to guess who's who and make a list. someone earlier mentioned "witch" as mythological but technically a witch is not part of this theme. Second theme is water-based (including the lovely Polly Roger of series 4). Third theme is based on Sky, like Stardust, Galaxia, Float, Ty Foon, Lunanne and Marsha.
