So here you will find all the Zelfs I have created and been working on, so if you're reading this, thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!!!! and if there is a future Zelf you would like to see, or certain coloured Zelfs then post aswell! I'll keep updating with pictures and bio's, and works in progress. Series 1 so far includes :- Talloolah - the Giraffe Zelf (Orange with yellow and blue) Zebedee - the Magic Elf Zelf (Silver with violet and black) Sage the Centaur Zelf (Purple with lilac and brown) Astra the Galaxy Zelf (Burgandy with pink, blue and silver) Sparks the Firefly Zelf (Yellow with orange and red) Marina the Water Dragon Zelf (Black with aqua and blue) Clio the Sea Turtle Zelf (Dark Green with metallic blue) Rufus the Dog Zelf (Red and Yellow) Riff the Rock Star Zelf (Royal Blue with magenta and black) Jingles the Christmas Zelf (White with dark/light green and red) Attachments:

The next two, Clio the Sea Turtle Zelf and Marina the Water Dragon Zelf! (Bio's to be posted soon!) I gotta accentuate the blue more on the Turtle and make a shell out of clay for her back, and I'm gonna add silver scales and colour the feet for the Dragon. Her face is a little too dark so i'll add silver there as well. |

Thanks, I haven't had much time off this month to do much customizing, I am trying to make each Zelf I do as different from each other as possible! I can drop a hint for the next 3, one will be red, one will be blue and one will be white, that's all I'm saying (and non-related)! If you guys/gals wanna speculate on what kind of Zelfs they will be, guess away! Lol.

So it turns out I'm not so good at teasing you all, so here's my updated Zelfs in picture! Enjoy! I'm still not 100% happy with them yet, but they look a little better with highlighted colours. I'm waiting on some new paint marker pens to come! |

Introducing Rufus - the Dog Zelf! I know we have Coco and Chi who are specific types of dog, but I thought that he would make a great friend for Catsby (my namesake) even though they fight like cat and dog, and chase each other around Zardenia, I wanted to have a similar kind of Zelf for him to play with! Hope you like him! |

Thanks TYG (can I call you that?) Haha. I wouldn't know where to begin in submitting them? They're just for fun really, having my own series 3.5! Lol.
I've been mainly using sharpies and colour pens, but after a suggestion from Vampula I started to use posca paint markers on the latest batch.
With regards to the hair, it varies from Zelf to Zelf, a couple of them had white hair to begin with so it was easy to colour with pens (Talloolah and Zebedee), with (Astra) it was a Masq Vampula base, so I just added the blue and silver to the black and pink, (Sage and Sparks, Rufus and Riff) I just kept the hair of the original Zelfs, (Marina) I just added black pen to the blue and with (Clio) I cut a piece of blue hair from another Zelf and added to the front and glued in.
I'm hoping more people will start customizing, I can't wait to see them all!

Wow, I had visions of a lot of painting. Tempted to grab some crafty bits now.
I love the spacey ones you've done, that seems like it would make a great future theme.

Lol. Nah, its surprisingly easier than it looks! You just paint/colour the Zelfs and then doodle some symbols on them!
Thanks, yeah a collection of Space themed Zelfs would be cool, maybe there could be one for each planet??? aaaaargh, stop giving me ideas! Haha.

Clio the Sea Turtle
Zelf Bio - This tough-shell talkin', street-wise turtle is all about the gift of the gab, she can talk for hours, and uses her banter to get herzelf out of trouble! A keen rapper, she spits beats and break-dances her way through Zardenia, in fact she probably even talks in her sleep! Clio makes friends rather easily, especially as it's hard to get a word in edge-ways! But she is kind to her friends, always shelling out for gifts! But whatever she does, she does it with a smile!

I'm using spare S1's that I got cheap off ebay from Hong Kong as bases for most of them, I have used a couple of S2's as well.
There's so many things that you can do for Christmas Zelfs and as I associate red, green and white mostly for xmas, I thought I could do one of each with different 'power-marks' on them and mix and match their hair!

The Gargoyle Zelf is dove grey with little cracks and imperfections on his body, and a big silver bell (Notre Dame anyone?) on his tummy. Two horns on his head, and although I know Violet didn't want any bright colours, I thought I could maybe get away with a bit of green on him as moss??? Haha. He has light green, black and grey hair. I didn't have the wings to add yet either, I used Tressa as a base so if I get any spare Vampulas any time soon I'll add the right wings for him. For a name I was thinking maybe Flint or Ash (grey's) or a name associated with rock/stone so if anyone has a suggestion, then please share! The Koi Zelf (I know several people on here requested one) is white mainly, with dark orange fins and scales on him whilst his hair is black and dark orange. His tummy pattern is a koi fish in a circle. Not sure about the 'moustache', maybe it would work better as protusions like on his face rather than penned on? Dunno. I call him Koi-vin (koivin) at the moment. Lol. What do y'all think? My 3.5 collection has really come on fast! I started with 1 zelf idea and its spiralled into a whole set! Zebedee, Talloolah, Astra, Sage, Sparks, Rufus, Marina, Clio, Riff, Flint and Koivin so far!! 3 more to go. I am really enjoying the process and will continue to make my own unique Zelfs. I'm gonna get some more spares to make as customs, and if there is something you'd really like to see in my next group let me know and I'll try. I'm kinda using the Create A Zelf thread for people's ideas for Zelfs so post there if u wanna see a particular Zelf!!! |
