Went Zelfing today!  The Zelicious Zelfs have made it to Alabama! Yay! I didn't have Spellminta and Berryshy yet, so I was glad to be able to see them in person. I wasn't planning on getting Spellminta based on the promo pics, but in person she was very cute! So I got her. The promo pics make her look like she's almost a transluscent mint green, and make it look like her facial features are washed out. She's not that way in person at all. She's a gorgeous shade of green, not transluscent at all, and her facial features are just as strong and wonderful as everybody else's. They also had one each of Deeno, Miss Tutu and Noodles. So I got Deeno for my daughter (she's been begging for him for a couple of weeks now), and Miss Tutu for myself. We already have Noodles. They also had a bunch of Series 1 Larges, since TRU corporate decided to unload some excess Series 1 Super Zelf stock on us. Once again, Large Lil'Ds are the slowest to sell. So my TRU is now building a Large Lil' D army. Sigh.  By the way, the Zelicious Zelfs were the ONLY mediums in the store. They're still having trouble getting them in and keeping them in stock. They must have just gotten the Zelicious ones in today, because there were exactly two of each kind. No, I take that back ... come to think of it, there was only ONE Chocolaa there. So they must have gotten in two of each this morning, but already sold one of their Chocolaas.  |

As for the other products, as you said, the Zelicious Zelfs are the only mediums that they seem to be able to keep in stock. Sadly, the new large Zelfs don't seem to be selling well at all. I do wish they would move the Zelfs from that back endcap where it's very easy to overlook them.
Spellminta is cute, but I think I'm going to end up parting with mine. Her scent was so disappointing, plus, when I look across the room at my Zelf shelf, she doesn't really stand out as being that much different from my regular Spellinda. To me, as far as reusing characters goes, the one that they got just right in the Zelicious line is Strawberry Vampula. Spellinda and Buttershy are just repaints (unless one of them has a detail that I missed) with slightly different hair, while Vampula is a completely new sculpt with the leaves on her head.
I ended up buying a second Strawberry Vampula, which I will keep in her packaging until the scent from my first one completely runs out. Yes, I love her that much!
I don't have high hopes for seeing a restock of the Series 3 mediums anytime soon, so what I've really been hoping to see on the shelf at TRU are the Series 3 minis. My TRU has no minis from any series at all right now. Has anyone in the US found Series three minis at their TRU?

My Spellminta barely has any smell at all. I'm OK with that, though. I don't care about the scents. I would have been just as happy if they didn't have any scent whatsoever. I LOVE that Strampula has a new head sculpt!!! I didn't realize it at first until I got one, then I noticed her eyes were a bit closer together than the 1st edition Vampula's. I love the new head sculpt. It makes her look like Vampula's little sister, instead of being a clone. I love the tiny leaves on her head, too. I haven't found any Series 3 minis yet in my area.  I want some of those mushroom guys! |

What puzzles me, though, is the lack of consistency with the scents. What little scent Spellminta had vanished almost right away. Chocolaa still has a scent, but I have to put her right up to my face in order to smell it. Neither one smells very good, though. However, after a few weeks, I can still smell Strampula whenever I'm near the shelf she's on, and she smells great. I wonder if my second Strampula will be the same way when I eventually take her out of the packaging.

I dont think series 3 minis have made it to the U.S. yet..........im impatiently awaiting those and the rest of series 3 . Seems like everytime I call TRU theres either nothing in or all they got are the scented ones. I think we have hit a DRY spell !

2 Manny's!!! I wish I could find one. We were out of state visiting family in Nevada and stopped by one of the Tru's by their house and I finally found a nice Frostette. Only to get home and find that she's missing the yellow outline around her cupcake! I thought something looked a little off at the store but I was really tired since it was the first big trip with my 11 month old and just somehow missed it. Will take a pic when I have a chance. Was thinking of returning her but now my different colored eye Garny will have a friend |

I didn't find any new Zelfs for my collection, but when I went to TRU recently, they had moved the Zelfs from an obscure endcap to a new place in one of the aisles. If I'm remembering correctly, they are across from the Lalaloopsy merchandise now.

Hm, haven't picked any up - was in a bit of a hurry - but I noticed my local Asda FINALLY have series 3 in stock. Round about when the second half is due to come out in the UK, kind of typical of it. I'm liking the look of the new Larges, but I'm primarily a mediums collector so I don't know if I'll ever pick them up.

I was finally able to get Catsby and Webina. They were the two that I wasn't able to get for the longest time, and the only two mediums I really wanted that I didn't have already. (Although, one sweet person on this forum kindly offered me a Webina once, and I foolishly didn't take it, expecting I'd find one locally.) But I was able to get Catsby through the mail a few days ago, and saw (medium) Webina on the Toys R Us web site today, so ordered her. Yays! I've been too busy to make a trip to my local TRU in person lately.
I'd love to go Zelfing in person, but I'm afraid it'll be a while before I have a free day again. I now have all the mediums I wanted, with the exception of the second half of Series 3 that isn't out yet. I NEED Petal!
I'd still like to get the larges Marsha and Talon. They're next on my wish list.

We went on a bit of a Zelf hunt today! Went to couple of Tesco and Asda stores, none had anything new, but Toys R Us come up trumps! In the usual Zelf section they only had ONE Zelf, a lonely little Dandy Lion. We thought that's all they had, however just round the corner they had a brand new freestanding Zelf section! They had all the playsets, some of the new Zelicious Zelfs and a mix of season 2 and 3 Zelfs. Rick came home with Ty Foon, Sealia and Strawberry Vampula. They only had the one Ty Foon otherwise I would have bought him too and unfortunately there was still no Float, so I just came home with Frostette. We also bought a Lil Zelf tin as I'd heard a rumour that Jewely is popping up in them. We gave them all a bit of a shake and one sounded like it had something extra inside... We decided to risk it and buy it... And guess who was inside!!! So all in all a pretty amazing hunt! Tom, how incredible!!!!! SO LUCKY! xD I wish we had those tins here in the US sooo badly! So you could feel something move around inside and it's a medium zelf? I really want these tins to be sold here, because I REALLY want her! Your reaction is so calm when you saw her, I would have squealed, and cried tears of joy! Lol!!! |

Went Zelfing today for the first time in a couple of weeks to my store in Alabama, USA. My Toys R Us had moved the Zelfs from a display in the center of the aisle to a nice section next to the Lalaloopsies. That display in the center of the aisle lasted quite a long time, so I'm totally not surprised. They do have to move things occasionally to keep the store looking fresh. I noticed they moved/reset MANY of the aisles in that part of the store. The Barbie section had been completely changed as well, as well as sections in several other aisles. The section looks great and it looks fully-stocked. They had lots of larges, lots of the Zelicious sets, the playsets and some regular mediums. In medium size they had Lullaby, Owlmanda, Lady B, Catsby and a couple others I don't remember. The Zelfs actually look at home next to the Lalaloopsies. I can tell you that aisle is VERY colorful!  I was just glad to see that more of the regular mediums had made it to the store. That store had been having a really difficult time getting in the mediums for the past several months. They'd get in only a few at a time and they'd sell out immediately. Maybe their restocking problems are now over! Yay! I just realized they didn't get in any of the individual tinies. (No pots, no mushrooms.) |

Well, I haven't been Zelfing in WEEKS. But I was near Toys R Us today and thought I'd just pop in to check to see if they had anything new. The TRU web site hasn't gotten in any of the second half of Series 3 yet, so my expectations weren't high. I can't believe it, but I found Petal, Billy (the duck) and Sugar Bunny! I was so thrilled to see Petal. I bought her. I wish they'd had two. I looked at Billy and Bunny, but they just weren't as wonderful. Sugar Bunny was sort of cute, but didn't look much like a Zelf to me. LOL.
So, YAY! I'm so glad I was able to get Petal and not have to pay a high price for her to order her online. So Petal, Billy and Sugar Bunny have made it to Alabama. I should check back in a week or two to see if I can get a Cupie.

I ordered a random large Zelf in order to get this CD promotion and ended up with Miss Tutu (whom I don't have)! I didn't particularly want her, but now I have her in my collection I'm sure she will grow on me! |

LOL on getting Miss Tutu! I have her, but I'm one of the minority who really likes her. My 6-year-old daughter doesn't even want her, and she usually loves pink glittery things, and she's a big Zelf fan as well.

I went to TRU today, and they only had one of the new Medium Zelfs, a Cupie (the few others that they had were all from the first wave of Series 3). The best part is that she was only $3! TRU has the Mediums on sale through the 22nd (I think). What I do not understand is where they are choosing to put the Zelfs in the store. They have the inventory completely split up. Some of it is on a shelf in an aisle (across from the Lalaloopsies). This is where the Zelicious Zelfs are, along with some of the Large Zelfs, playsets, and the big DIY Zelf. Then, they have the rest of the Zelfs (the Mediums, more Large, and more playsets) on a four-sided Shopkins display in the main aisle in front of the dolls. If I didn't already know about the Zelfs on the Shopkins display, I would have totally missed out on Cupie, plus the fact that the Mediums are on sale. Is it like this at any other TRUs? |

I went to TRU to snag some fruit themed Lalaloopsy ponies on clearance before they disappeared and I decided to check the Zelfs since they were only $3 each. I found Petal so I know they had the second wave of Series 3. They also had a Manny but I already have him.

Wow, a Snowphie for $3! That's the best deal I've ever heard of. Congrats, Pixiedust!
I was able to snag another Petal today from the Toys R Us web site, plus two Chis. I already had one Petal that I found in my local store a week or two ago. So, yay! I now will have a Petal and a Chi for myself, and a Petal and Chi for my daughter for Christmas. I'm still looking for Cupie, Pandela, Talon, Marsha, Coco and all the rares (Snowphie, etc.).

no medium zelfs no other larges nothing
in smyths there wasnt even any playsets medium zelfs or blindbags!!
