Back when this forum was new, we compiled a huge list of the types of zelfs people wanted to see in future series, and some of them ended up being produced! I know red pandas, parrots, and tropical zelfs were mentioned. Coincidence? Maybe! But what if Moose is receptive to fan suggestions? Let's make another list, and see if any of our wishes come true!
I know that a lot of folks have been requesting centaur (zentaur?) zelfs, with the traditional four-legged lower half. Peacock is another one that is brought up a lot, as are zodiac themed zelfs (which could also include a centaur).
some of the ones I'm dying to see are:
babies/zelflings, whether they're new characters or baby versions of repeat characters. How cute would a baby Birchy be?
an elephant, perhaps with a fake trunk accessory that can be put on and off, kinda like the old purrtenders characters?
rock & roll themed zelfs
more dinos! Deeno needs his stomping buddies!
a kirin
a pig with a cute curly tail! Maybe even a winged pig!
a hedgehog with fur on its back as well as the zelf hair!
a shark
a manta ray
A mouse!
more flower themed zelicious zelfs! How cool would a rose zelf be?
maybe since we have large-only characters, throw in some mini-only characters too?
a questing beast
a simurgh
a foo dog
butterfly mantis shrimp!
I gotta stop or else I won't be able to, haha

I'm still hoping for a Sunflower zelf! They're one of my fave flowers. (If I had the spare cash and time I would try my hand at a custom one, but hey ho...)
As for the next rares, I think a Peacock or a Phoenix zelf would be cool...

I want: 1. Dragon Zelfs of all kinds (I can't get enough of these! Oceana and Noodles are wonderful) 2. Gargoyle Zelf (in grey, please, with little horns like Birchy, and wings like Garny) 3. Glitter-finish mediums (like Miss Clover, but in an easily-obtainable series like the Zelicious) 4. Flower Zelfs: Violet, daffodil, rose, daisy, iris 5. Rainbow Zelf (with rainbow hair and a body that's any color except pink) 6. Confections Zelfs in the same vein as Frostette: Wedding cake, birthday cake, gingerbread cookies 7. Jewel Zelfs: Diamond, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, topaz 8. A droopy-eared Zelf with eyeglasses 9. More black, brown and grey Zelfs EDIT: I love Snap Jack's idea of a Viking Zelf. Sounds great.  |

a Phoenix zelf would be cool... Flare from series 4 is a phoenix! Seconding pretty much all of what Pega Sue suggested ^^ LOVE the foo dog and kirin ideas. Also seconding Snap Jacks suggestion of otter, I would go crazy! I would also like to see the following Zelfs: -sabre tooth tiger -coyote -spotted hyena with a fur mane down its back -squid or octopus -sea turtle -raccoon -penguin -wasp -scarab beetle -fire ant -jellyfish -coral reef -trilobite -raven -koala -opossum -poison ivy -lavender Zelicious scents- -banana -guava -chai tea -apple pie -gingerbread -buttered popcorn -coffee -orange -maple -caramel -marshmallow -cotton candy -root beer -cream soda -grape -peanut butter -liquorice |

I think we need more mythological zelfs: centaur, dryad nymph,goblin, Minotaur I also think we need more plant zelfs: ivy, snowdrop,rose, daisy, daffodils I would want a bat,piggie, pug,anteater, gargoyle and A SUPERHERO zelf with a little Cape too  |

As 3 of my customs got made into real Zelfs (water dragon, galaxy and monkey Zelf) -
I would really love to see a Giraffe, Magic, Centaur, Firefly, Sea Turtle, Gargoyle, Koi Fish, Christmas, Spaniel, Rock Star, Polar Bear, Flying Pig, Seasons and Rainforest Zelfs get made! That would be awesome!!
Definitely Zodiac Zelfs or Gemstone Zelfs too!

Ok. So I've seen a couple listed already but I'm gonna 2nd(or 3rd?) them.
Polar bear, turtle, lightning bug, sun, leopard, giraffe, peacock, pig, tom turkey, penguin, chameleon, rhino!!, flamingo, octopus, dinos, birth months(combine gemstone with flower somehow?) fireworks, chipmunk, ummm. That's all for now.

Just wanted to describe my ideas for a couple of flower Zelfs, just to further illustrate my original post:
Iris Zelf: A Zelf that's a soft, pleasant shade of purple, with hair that is streaked in both yellow and purple. She'd have yellow eyes, and an image of an iris on the tummy.
Violet Zelf: A violet-purple Zelf with hair in a lighter purple, with blue or pink eyes, and an image of a violet on the tummy.

Violet, I love the idea of Christmas and Halloween Zelfs! Personally, I think the Zelfs are perfect for Halloween, especially since there are already vampire, werewolf, and witch Zelfs. Maybe a pumpkin-themed Zelf, or a bat (just not pink, like Vampula), or even a Frankenstein's monster Zelf? |

I see a lot of ideas I've had too like an Elephant, I'd love her to be named Ivory, so cute! Grey Zelf with Ivory hair!
And a gargoyle Zelf I wanted to name him Rocki!
A lightning bug, a Racoon, peacock!

I kinda hope he'll be the same size as the medium's, and not necessarily a Zelf/MLP hybrid, maybe droopy eared Zelf top half, and a flocked bottom half in different colour (i.e brown or black) that would be awesome!  |

We gave Amber Matthies the link to the previous list, once we get the list completely compiled we should do it again! Who is Amber Matthies (does she work for Moose?) Amber Matthies is actually the original designer of Zelfs. She has her own handmade collectibles called Trollflings that Moose Toys I guess bought out?? But she still produces Trollflings!! They're amazingly beautiful!! |

Yeah, the story is that Moose Toys was inspired by Amber Matthies' work, and paid her for the rights to produce a toy line that was inspired by her trollflings, and that's how we got the Zelfs. Her sculptures are very Brian Froud-ish (who did the art for Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal). Really, I wish they'd stick more closely to her original designs. The further away the Zelfs get from her designs, the less I like them. SO many fabulous ideas here! I'm a sucker for sweets-themed toys (I just ordered Chocolaa & Frostette!), plus I also work at a bakery! so maybe more like that would be nice... -Creme Brulee zelf -Angel cake -Red Velvet cake -Pie zelf Also loving the mythology based zelfs (love your suggestion of a foo dog, Pega Sue!) -Kappa -Neko/Lucky Cat -Welsh dragon As I'm from Liverpool, I'd go nuts over some Zelfs inspired by my neck of the woods - Beatles zelf, anyone? or, if anyone is familiar with the Lamb Banana sculptures here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superlambanana) though maybe I'm pushing it a bit there!! |
