This week's Zelf is....
Dandy Lion! I must admit, I have a bias towards lion types. And Dandy here is no exception! And what's even better than a lion? A winged lion. Aw yeah.
Dandy was one of the first S2 Zelfs I got, and I love him to pieces. I'll get some images up later, but in the meantime, how about you guys/gals?

Winged lions are the best lions.  I'm a huge fan of Dandy Lion! I have the medium-sized Dandy, and I love him to bits. I was looking through my photo album to see if I had any pictures of Dandy already done, and surprisingly, he's one of the Zelfs I have almost no pictures of! These are literally the only two pictures I've ever taken of him, that I can find. I'll have to make an effort to photograph him more.   |

So I copied and pasted my thoughts about Dandy from another thread!
The first thing you notice about him is his colour, a nice shade of yellow (banana yellow I call it!) He was one of the first yellow Zelfs, apart from Elfa who's more a yellowy-green, I love the fact that they've contrasted the yellow with brown, the colours you kind of associate with real lions! The brown they have for his hair, goes well with the yellow, its like a caramelly brown.
His hair also has a streak of amber at the front, which matches the oranges curl on his forehead and the orange ruff around his neck, such a cute detail! He also has orange sideburns which I'd never noticed until now as well!
He has a light yellow patch on his tummy, and a cute little lion motif on his left leg with a brown star! Awwwwww! My particular DandyLion seems to have a lot of hair, so I fluff it up to make it more 'mane' like too. Despite Lions being growly and aggressive, Dandy Lion has a dopey grin like expression on his face which is adorable! His ears are just the right size, and his eyes are blue/grey which suit him.
His tail is great too, a plastic yellow tail with a brown end, which I almost wish was hair like instead of plastic! Oh and did I forget to mention DandyLion only has frickin' wings! A Lion with wings! Who thought of that??? Whoever you are, I applaud you as the wings just add to his charm! White feathery wings and a cute yellow/brown/orange combo Zelf! Ahhhhhh! And what about that little white tooth? How didn't I notice that before either!
Its weird, but when you really look at the Zelfs closely enough, you do appreciate them more! DandyLion isn't one of my favourites of Series 2, nor is he in my least fave catergory. I always saw him as a middley type. One I never took much notice of before. I don't know if he's one of YOUR favourites but he certainly is charming and a good one for your collection!
Dandy grows on me more and more every day! He has an adorable face, doesn't he?

He truly does have such a happy little face doesn't he? Hee hee. (I was almost called DandyLion when I first joined as well, but I saw somebody else had him as their moniker, so changed to Catsby instead! - Just a useless bit of trivia for you!) Haha. |

I felt the need to photograph Dandy today, since I barely had any photos of him. There is this lovely little patch of groundcover in my backyard that is perfect for photographing little toys and things in. I'm finally (almost) well again after having had pneumonia over the past week and a half, so I'm in a great mood now, and wanting to do some photography.   I had to take these photos twice, because the first time I did it, it looked like Dandy's eyes were speckled with dust in the pictures. Poor Dandy was sitting on my shelf long enough to get dusty! So I brushed him off, and took the pictures again. |

Awwww, hope you're feeling better Violet! Great pics of Dandy as always! Looks like he's right at home - king of the jungle! Haha. (not that your garden is a Jungle!  ) Lol. |

Oh, man ... I didn't think to actively try to create a "King of the Jungle"-type picture. I should have thought of that! Hee hee. I could have made it look like there were jungle vines behind him, or something.
