Hey Zelfies! I've decided I'd like to take a crack at making a pattern for my own Zelf plush toys. I was mostly inspired by how much I love Stardust so I think I'd like to make her first  could any of you lovely folks kindly take some front, side and back shots of Stardust for me? I'd like to get her design just right ^^ thanks for reading  ETA: I would also love a pic of her eye colour as I'm having a really hard time figuring it out ^^; thanks! |

Omigosh, I WISH I had her! I'm still looking for her.
I'd love to see the plushie you make when you're done. I've made my own patterns for plushies before. It's pretty fun.

I knew I could count on you as a fellow creative soul to root me on Thanks so much for linking me to that thread, you took a very good shot of her back there. I found a front shot from Google images, now all I need is her face profile... thanks for confirming the colour of her eyes for me, I'm already looking for suppliers of giant safety eyes (making the eye sockets is going to be very challenging I think!). I was thinking of making the limbs rotate so the plushie would be like a giant stuffed figure, what do you think? Oh have you really? I've only made a few patterns in my time, one worked out, the others didn't but I learned a lot. I've used patterns purchased from Etsy or found on Deviant Art with great success ^^ It's actually always been my dream to be a pro at making plush so I'm trying to make my dream come true :B I needed some really good inspiration for a first big project, I wanted it to be personal so I'd be sure to put a lot of love into it and that's why I chose Stardust Do you have any photos of some of the plush that you've made? Maybe you can give a fellow hobbyist some tips if you know of any ^^; the hair is going to be one of the hardest parts I think! Making it look right will be difficult. I wish someone out there would manufacture some 10" pile fun fur ;P I'll definitely show pictures of my progress if the base form for the Zelf plush turns out good enough by the time I do a few prototypes I may even clean up the pattern and PDF it to sell on Etsy. Absolutely I'll probably even be posting progress shots of the pattern and construction here! I'm gonna need my fellow Zelfies to root me on and help keep me motivated  <3 |

I actually don't have any photos of my plushies on my computer. Maybe this weekend I can get my box of handmade plushies down and take some pictures, though.
In other news, I went Zelfing today because I had to go out to mail a package anyway. I was looking for Stardust, Oceana or Sketalia, but they were nowhere to be found. They did have Ooma, the red panda, though! It was the first time I've seen her, so I grabbed her. So yay, I got a new Zelf today after all.

Of course, of course! I will always support anyone (creative or otherwise!) even the most ridiculous ideas (not that yours is one!) embrace the creativeness, and seeing as you are Howlette creativity is key!!! Plushies are great anyway, so if we ever see Zelf ones, I'd do a little happy dance!!! Go Howley Go!!! Hope you manage to find her soon Violet, if you need me to find some of those S4's don't hesitate to ask!!! They're not too hard to find over here in the UK! Congrats on getting Ooma!!! This is so cool Howlette, can't wait to see pics when you get started!!! |
