hello zelfie peeps! Please vote on my poll! So I'm a seasoned collector of other toys and dolls but am brand new to collecting zelfs having only just discovered them little over a week ago! Collecting is in my dna but I always have this dilemma about whether or not to preserve my toys mint in their packaging or open them - and then if I open them, I have another dilemma about whether or not to keep the pretty artwork from the packaging or not. It drives me crazy not being able to make my mind up! So what do any of the rest of you do? Do you like to keep your zelfs mib/moc and never get them out, or do you rip em open, chuck away the packaging and enjoy playing with them to the full, or are you somewhere in between? I'm really curious to know whether everyone else has the same agony as me and if so what you do about it LOL!

Oh I know what you mean about the in box - debox problem... but I do debox my zelfs. They are just more fun out of box I think plus they take up less of my limited display space. The only ones I keep in box are the rares as I like to keep limited edition items boxed. My daughter deboxes hers though, so I guess in a way I'm having my cake and eating it too I do keep the back of their boxes though so I can read their bios and enjoy the artwork.

I open all of mine. I can't imagine keeping them boxed up as I love being able to pose and display them too much and like teafaery said, they take up far less space out of the box. I do keep the box art though because it's just too cute to throw away. However, I have to admit, whilst I prefer the newer packing over the old (slimmer and easier to get into) it's not always possible to not damage the artwork when unboxing. Unlike the first 2 zeries, the artwork just pops straight out whereas on the newer packaging the design on the front always gets ruined when the plastic is removed and sometimes the cellotape on the back causes damage to the artwork on the back so you do have to be super careful.

The packaging doesn't stay around very long at my house. We open them up and then display them. We don't even keep the backs of the packaging. We do keep some of the leaflets from inside, though.

I unbox all my toys. While I think toy packaging is usually super cute, with gorgeous artwork, I personally believe toys are there to be played with and enjoyed It also saves space! I do want to start keeping more of the artwork and leaflets, though. I usually tend to take photos when I buy new toys (I share a lot of my toy hunting photos on my Instagram so I put them on there) so I can look at the artwork again that way, but some of the leaflets are really cute with the biographies and so on!

A combo of both, really. For limiteds, I always keep the packaging - They look gorgeous in their boxes, and I like to have one of each series in pack for the sake of the future (ie. nostalgia!) For the others, I open, but cut out their backing and stuff.
