I haven't seen the Crystals anywhere here, and they're still not on the Toys R Us site, which is our only distributor here.  I know I can get them from eBay, but I'd rather buy them from a local source, because Toys R Us and Moose Toys won't know Americans want Zelfs if we buy from overseas. Sigh. Anyone have any thoughts or insight on this? |

Oh I hope they make it to the US. I don't want to pay over $20 for a single Zelf.

Im sorry to say I recieved an email and a PM on facebook from Moose and a friend in Australia called them for me confirming the US will NOT be getting the Crystals.  |

Seriously? I don't understand why. Why would they send other Zelfs to the U.S. but not the Crystals?  It makes no sense. It's not like they're copies of the Zelicious Zelfs or anything. Quite different, actually. We can't buy them over here if no one is selling them.  Thanks for the info, Pixie. |

I guess I will just never have these since I'm not paying over $20 for a single Zelf and the chances of ever coming across them in a thrift store in the future are nil because no parent is going to pay that much either. I'm going to go cry in a corner now because these were so much more beautiful than the Zelicious that been clogging up the shelves.

This is truly upsetting, I was so looking forward to the Crystal line! I saw someone on the Zelf fb group post that it's probably because TRU didn't order any of that line, because the Zelficious line didn't sell as well. That makes sense to me. I only have one TRU in my state to base it off of, but I noticed the Zelficious toys hung around for way longer than any of the Mediums or even the Supers. If enough TRU stores said "Don't send us any more of the little ones with accessories, they don't sell" then Moose would probably make the decision to not make them part of the USA line. Don't lose heart completely, guys! Toy companies change their minds all the time. Even with Zelfs themselves, we hear different things. Remember when they said "at this time the Butterfly Friendship set will only be sold in Australia" and then we saw it in the UK after, and now we see it in Canada? I've been collecting toys for a long time. Back in early 2000's, I was collecting the G3 My Little Ponies, and Hasbro put out three sets with baby ponies that were ONLY sold in Europe. I spent a lot of money to buy the three sets and have them mailed to me in the USA, so I could have the babies. Much to my chagrin, over a year later we saw the exact same three babies released in the USA in completely different sets.  So for those of you who can't afford to buy them from overseas, be patient, you never know what a toy company is going to do!  |

I mean maybe I can hope they come to Canada since it's a little cheaper to import from there but I think they are still on Series 3!

No we are on series 4 now in Canada . There is still series 3 stock around but we're on 4. |

It's just really annoying because they aren't really worth $20 but that's how much they are on ebay. And I can't even trade Zelfs because everything that is available here is also available there so who would bother trading when they can walk into their local store and buy them.

Write or call Toys R Us corporate and ask them why they aren't going to be carrying the Crystal Zelfs. Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion TRU didn't order the Crystals because they are loaded up with Zelicious Zelfs right now. They actually sold nicely at first, at least here in my area, but then TRU kept ordering more and more, and now the shelves are filled with them and no one wants them any more. Everyone in town who wanted them already has them. TRU hasn't figured this out yet.  And yet, the cheaper individual Zelfs sell really fast. |

I feel bad for you guys, if that's the case and you're not getting the Crystals! But like somebody has said, don't give up or despair just yet! There's things you can do, like organising a petition or letter to send to TRU and getting everyone to sign/add their names in order for them to see how much you want the Crystals there, or to stock them as the demand is high, perhaps as just a suggestion??? There's I guess, a small outside chance that you could still get them though, Series 5 is still relatively new and Series 6 I would imagine will be out early winter (Nov-Jan) so they might bring them out sometime between, seeing as there isn't really two waves this time round is there? Dunno, might just be positive thinking on my part? I'm away next week, so might not be around very much at all, but if y'all can wait another week or so and you don't hear anything new, I would be willing and glad to find some Crystals to try and help my Forum Family out???  |

So I don't know if this seller found her in the US or bought her from the UK and is reselling her. But someone on ebay listed a crystal sugar bunny in New York! It's the only zelf they have listed so I don't know, but maybe there's hope.

That would be awesome, but weird, since Moose themselves said they weren't selling them in the US, and that was just a couple weeks ago...
But then again, if it is true it would hardly be the first time a company gave out the wrong information LOL

Moose emailed me and a friend in Australia phoned them for me ......and my email said and they told my friend the US will not get the crystals. |
