Peek-a-boo! It's this week's ZOTW! Now I've gotta admit - My mother literally just purchased this little gal (guy? I prefer this Zelf as a fella) a few days after I initially wrote this, since it seems as though Series 5 are finally making their way over to where I live. Finley is one of my most favourite Series 5 Zelfs, so let's dive into what makes him so lovable. To be honest, Finley's Lil was my first ever Series 5 Zelf. Although you can't see it very well here, Finley's Lil actually has molded scales on the head. The medium Finley has some beautiful oceanic markings. And the back - I love how Moose have done the wings, with a shell in the middle. And the Z mark is hidden way underneath the wings. I'm not sure why there's a second 'Z' there though! So how about all of you? Do you have or are you looking for Finley? Do you consider Finley a girl like Moose intended her to be? Or do you prefer Finley as a boy?

Gorgeous photos and review, Garny! Love all the fish puns I've yet to find Finley, so these pictures are great! Love all the details too - so pretty. Such a lovely colour scheme. I love the darker blue/purple in his hair! I call Finley "him" but I'm not actually sure whether they're a boy or girl yet! When Moose actually give their zelfs a gender, I find it hard to break away from canon, but then, they've swapped and changed a few times before with others, so who knows?

Oh, squeeee!!! I literally just got this little guy last week. I haven't taken pictures of him yet, so I'll have to take some pictures today.
I love all the close-up pics, Garny! *Runs off to take some pictures*

Awwwww Finley is certainly a little cutie! He's a boy in my eyes, really. I remember when the pics first surfaced of Series 5, everyone seemed to really fall for him, his cute little face, fins and colour scheme are all lovely really! He's the hard-to-find (htf) of Zeries 5 so that makes him kinda even more special really! Luckily I found him in my toy store, so happily picked him up!!! I love blues and purples and the yellow balances him out perfectly! I'd like to take some pics of him when i get a chance, but great pics so far Garny, and I'm sure Violet and Angelala will take some even more great pics too!

Aww Finley! He (He's always been a he to me from the minute I saw him. He just doesn't look anything like a girl at all to me and his name screams boy too! XD) is a lovely little zelf. I haven't been able to find him yet unforunetly so no pictures from me, but you can bet when/if I find him, he'll be hanging out with all my other water themed zelfs namely Lochlan and Sealia as I see him getting on rather well with both of those. Anyway, I love his ocean markings. His mini is adorable too I just wish the mini's had a bit of paint on them rather than being completely pain. His head scales would look lovely in purple!

I happened to have this morning free, so I was able to do some quick pics in my backyard. I do wish they'd done his colors in orange, black and white like a real koi ... because otherwise why call him a koi? They could have called him a guppy Zelf and it would have made as much sense. But I have to admit, the yellow looks nice with the light blue. Here he is sitting next to Talon, the griffin Zelf. I thought their color schemes went well together. And he's pretty adorable on his own. Facial expression is everything to me, and this Zelf has a really pleasant, cute facial expression. He looks like he's defying gravity in that last pic, but really the camera was tilted. LOL!

You can get yellow and blue koi, but they're definitely less common than the orange/red/black ones. I love Finley's design but I can appreciate what you mean, more traditional would have looked pretty too. Maybe someone at Moose is a koi enthusiast, as the yellow colour is tougher to breed, haha! Gorgeous photos as ever! Love how he looks next to Talon, their colours complement very nicely. :3

I was surprised to learn blue and yellow koi were actually a real thing since they are rather rare.

They're called Ochiba koi. I will now officially stop whining about Finley's color choice! Wow, I'd never seen koi that color before. I guess I just learned something today! My mama always said I should learn something new every day.

To be fair, they come in so many colours, Moose could probably do an entire series of just koi zelfs!

Can you imagine a 3 pack of Koi Zelfs like the butterfly 3 pack?

Wonderful photos as ever, Violet!
Also, for those who do own him, do you also have a second 'z' marking under this wings? There's a possibility that some people have it and some people don't - Just curious now!
