Hi, I'm Gena. I am a toy collector. Mostly Mattel brands. Recently I discovered Zelfs on a YT channel about toys. I think they are so cute and unique! Currently, I have no Zelfs.  But I want to change that! I am a bit confused about what Zelfs are currently available and which ones are rare. Can anyone give me a Zelf 101 lesson? I've never seen a Zelf in person either. Only pictures and videos. I plan on going to Toys r Us soon to go Zelf hunting! I'd like my first Zelf to be one I really like, even if it's not rare or special edition. What Zelfs are currently available? |

Hi Gena, I'm Lauren.  I'm quite new to Zelfs too! I think Toys r Us or Smyths or other big toy shops are quite a safe bet for finding them, and Amazon is probably quite good for browsing or buying older ones or if there's one you really, really want and can't find elsewhere. The shops I've seen them in are only stocking either Series 4 or Series 5 now, but where you are might be different. If you're starting by just choosing one you really like anyway then they all come with a little collector's leaflet that tells you which ones are available in that size for the series, including the rare one, and it shows you pictures and tells you a little bit about each one too so that really helped me to get started! |

Welcome to the forums Gena! Looking at one of your other posts, it seems like you're in the US? I can't help much since I'm over in the UK, but from what I understand the US seems to be on series 5. These are just some that you might be able to find if that's the case!:    |

Hi guys! It's nice to meet you! Yup, I'm in 'Merica. From my understanding- there are two retail store chains that have Zelfs in America and the other one besides Toys r Us has no locations near me.
Just got back from TRU- I got a Zelicious Buttershy(medium?) and Marsha(large?)! They only had one stack of big Zelfs(about 10) and one peg of smaller zelfs that only had two on it! And the rest of the isle was drowning in Shopkins. >.< I'm terrified that I'll come across a rare one and not know it and leave it! Who is rare that still could be on TRU shelves? Tomorrow I might be going to another TRU that is by where I work. It's a nicer TRU so I'm hopeful that they'll have a better selection.

Aww good choices! Try not to worry too much, I'm not sure but I think outside of the really rare ones like Cleocat from Series 4 and Pearleen from Series 5 it's pretty much down to luck and which shop happens to have what at any given time. Might be wrong though. |

Hi Gena, Welcome to the Forums, I hope you've settled in here? I think mostly you can find all the info you're looking for on here, most of us are currently on Series 5 which came out in July. Garny shared some pics of this latest series which you can find in Toys R Us in America or online. Some are quite tricky to find though! The Rare's are Miss Clover - the Clover Zelf, she is green and glittery! (series 1), Jewely - Ruby Zelf, she is red and shimmery with jewels on her forehead! (series 2), Snowphie - white tiger Zelf - he is flocked with soft skin and black and white striped (series 3), Cleocat - she is exotically Egyptian with black, gold and turquoise jewelled (series 4) and Pearleen is the Mermaid Zelf, she is pearly white and pink, with silver accesssories (series 5). Currently S5 are Royal P(peacock), Talleen(giraffe), Zebbie(zebra), Daisy May(daisy), Roseanne(rose), Joy Drop(rainbow), Whizzkas(winged kitten), Batrina(bat), Candy Lou(candy), Sneak-a-Boo(monster), Koolah(koala) and Finley(koi fish). The larges are Snowanne (snow leopard), Wishka (fairy godmother), Swanda (swan), Lily Goat(goat), Ditty Dot (dalmation) and Frankenzelf (frankenstein). So are there any of the non-rare characters that are less common than others? wardah I got information that Books-a-Million sold them. Maybe it was wrong. I live in B&N territory and I've never even seen a Book-a-Million. D= Today is my official day off and I am bored. So I'm going to a TRU really far away to check their MH, EAH, and Zelf stock! YAY! Just waiting for my phone to charge so I won't get lost out in the middle of no where. I adore Pearleen! I'd love to get her. |

I got Talon, Frankenzelf, and Strawberry Vampula today. I went to another TRU that was 40 minutes away, driving there was an adventure. >.<
Also, the scents on the Zelicious Zelfs make me feel kinda sick. Anyone have this experience?
Thanks Laruen, it's slim pickings at the TRU near me. =( The Shopkins craze is strong here. There is little room for Zelfs in the Moose isle! I hope you have more luck! Do a lot of stores in the UK have decent selections of Zelfs?
I'm going road tripping in October though and I'll be visiting every TRU along the interstate. MUAHAHAHA! I will conquer their Zelf populations so I can bring them north to live with me! =D
