I believe a lot of people use Sharpies, or take the hair off one Zelf and glue it onto another.

You can buy the furry hair that Moose use on their Zelfs, but I'm not sure how it actually works/attaches on!

Starkle & Colorbee are some great customisers, they might be able to help you!

I tought of maybe using fabric paint or whatever its called, since the hair is made out of fabric.

Yeah Angelala's right, that's what I do with my customs! Depending on what colours I need, I tend to swap out their hair, unattaching it from their heads carefully then re-gluing it onto another one, or if the colour's not quite right, I use Sharpie pens to colour over (it can be messy and stain though - so be careful!) but whatever works for you I guess - if you want to get brand new fake fur then do so, its all trial and error - and don't forget to share your finished results!!!!
