2017 - Ultimate Zelf Rankings - The Results

123- LILY GOAT (2016 - 94th) 15pts -
Lily has the unfortunate honour of being the lowest placed Zelf this year. I'm not sure on anyone else's reasons for marking her so low, but I do think that the colouring isn't quite right for her really. The cream/lilac combo doesn't do it for me personally. I also think if she'd been a medium Zelf she might have fared a bit better?

122 - ROSEANNE (2016 - 71st) 16pts -
The lil' Rose Fairy Zelf takes a tumble down the rosebushes this year, and again I admit she's probably one of my least fave Z5 Zelfs, I do wonder if its the colours, or horn thingies or petals on her body that don't quite gel?

121 - FLITTERBELLE (New Entry) 17pts -
No surprises here, I don't think she is in anyone's top 5 Zelfs of Zeries 6 is she? Poor thing! I guess she also pales in comparison to Pearleen the first Mermaid Zelf with fish tail we had, the colours are also uninspiring with the 'dreaded' pinks that Zelf fans the world over adore! Not.

120 - RIBBITA (2016 - 56th) 19pts -
Awwwwwww no, poor Ribbita was the lowest placed Zelf in 2015 but actually climbed to 56th last year, and this year sees her slip down to the bottom of the pond once again. Poor Ribbita. I wonder if her low scores, is because she's the play set Zelf and not often included in the regular sets, or perhaps her plain colouring isn't well received?

119 - SHIMMA (New Entry) 21pts -
A low entry for one of the new Crystal Zelfs, I do however think Shimma is the least interesting of the Z6 Crystals so I'm not too surprised by her low start to this years contest. Maybe next year will be better Shimma, until then swim on!

118 - CINDY MOO (2016 - 95th) 21pts -
Another low entry for the Cow Girl Zelf. I think the fact she doesn't really look like a cow doesn't help, and I know a few people aren't fond of the hat either. She's managed to be in the bottom 10 for three years running though, so that should be recognised, I guess? Time to Mooooooove on....

117 - HARMONIE (New Entry) 23pts -
The pop star prima-donna, hasn't exactly set the charts alight has she? Harmonie made it to 117th so she's got a way to go to make it to the top! Her star isn't burning brightly just yet.

116 - COCO (2016 - 92nd) 23pts -
Our French Fancy Poodle only manages a disappointing place this time round. Seems the well mannered pooch isn't pretty in pink, I wonder if that's the problem, her pink perzona is rather plain and rather pink. Maybe she could do with a reboot of sorts (yes yes I know that's highly unlikely) but if she had purples or whites and poofier hair like a poodle, would she be more popular?

115 - SMOOTHIE (2016 - 90th) 24pts -
Oh dear Smoothie once again has hardly made a dent in this years Rankings. At least she's consistant! I rather think her crazy colour scheme doesn't help, as her face mold and tail are rather cute, its the pink/purple/green feet (why?) and yellow that doesn't work at all. Oh dear Smoothie, not very smooth at all.

114 - ZEBBIE (2016 - 99th) 25pts -
Another low scoring Zelf, Zebbie gallops her way down the hill to this position. When you think of it a Zebra Zelf shoulda coulda been hella cute, but Zebbie's lack of stripes and weird paint colouring of her ears doesn't work in my opinion. I think she has potential to be rebooted somewhere down the line too.

113 - BILLY (2016 - 87th) 26pts -
Oh Billy! One of my least fave Zelfs from Z3 is in one big puddle! Another year, another fairly low score for the Rubber Ducky Zelf. I think adding a bit of baby blue to his hair and maybe giving him ears or some more tufts would help him a lot. Its sink or swim for this yellow Zelf, and he's flapping around needing all the help he can get.

112 - CHEFFREY (New Entry) 26pts -
Wow, the first surprise so far for me. I genuinely thought Cheffrey would have gotten more points really. I know the Z6 Larges are a bit hit and miss, but Cheffrey is a blue Zelf (usually popular) and the chef motif is quite cute! I dunno what's not working for him, maybe he needs to bribe us all with cupcakes next year?

111 - TALLEEN (2016 - 23rd) 26pts -
A massive drop in the Rankings for Talleen, who finds herself near the bottom this year, after qualifying in the upper half last year! I must admit I adore Talleen, simply because she's a Giraffe and one of my fave animals and I never thought there'd be a Giraffe Zelf ever so I do wonder if its the dreaded pink curse striking again? I only hope she can hold her head high and make a return to the top next year?

110 - POWER PUP (New Entry) 27pts -
Another Zeries 6 Large (universally unpopular it seems) Power Pup is another I thought might have done better. He's got rather a cute mold, and I love the superhero theme, but maybe it doesn't all work with the colour scheme? It seems Pup hasn't saved the day this year. I wonder if he'll save the day next year instead?

109 - DESIGN YOUR ZELF (2016 - 89th) 28pts -
This time I'm not surprised to see DYZ here. I don't think anyone really counts her as part of the canon really, more a seperate standalone Zelf and that enormous size. She is a cute Zelf and the design feature was different, getting to make your own Zelf - yay! But because she's not the same as the other Zelfs its really been her downfall I think.

108 - RAINGLOW (2016 - 101st) 29pts -
2016 was a bad year for this parrot Zelf. She was second from last, so although she is a lower scorer this year, she's actually climbed placings, beating 15 other Zelfs so she's flying a little higher. I defo think she could do with more colour, considering she's rainbow themed really. And she's a rare Red Zelf so that helps too. I personally think that bird Zelfs should have beaks as well. But well done Rainglow for getting as far as you did this year.

107 - MISS TUTU (2016 - 97th) 29pts -
Miss Tutu follows Rainglow's footsteps, by being bottom 6 last year but improving year on year despite a lower score (don't forget we have many new Zelfs this year) but she gracefully pirouhettes her way to 107th this year. Her ballet theme is not for us all, and her face is super-cute but once again we have the 'waaaaay too much pink' going on, which is disliked by Zelf fans in general.

106 - RAINBOW MOOSE (2016 - 91st) 30pts -
Rainbow Moose is one that always surprises me, as to how well he does considering he's like suuuuuuuper hard to get! The Rarest of them all, he is simply a Manny mold with a rainbow body and green hair really, but it seems the holy grail of Zelfs is quite well received. I'm certainly lucky to be the proud owner of one of these Rare beauties.

105 - BAARBERA (2016 - 59th) 30pts -
A bit of a drop for the Sheep Zelf this year. Baarbera did spectacularly well in 2015 making the top 30, but continues to drop quite rapidly through the Rankings. I think she'd have been better as a medium personally, but her colours and theme are cute enough I guess. But when the competition is this difficult for us to choose our Faves, Baarbera gets lost amongst the crowd really.

104 - MAGICELLA (New Entry) 30pts -
The Genie of the Crystal Lamp, it seems she hasn't wished herself for a better position, making her debut at 104. With her cute lamp play set and her purple hues, I wonder what she could do to better herzelf next year?

So there's the first 20 Zelfs on the list. Any surprises so far? I don't think there is really. Get ready for more countdown tomorrow!

83 - LIL' D (2016 - 100th) 42pts -
Yay! Awwwww I am so pleased for Lil D who's been bottom 15 the last two years and jumps a whopping 17 places from last year. It's unfair that the lil' orange (and still only orange Zelf we have) critter is often overlooked and was much aligned in the early days when some people thought he was symbolic for the devil, when he's technically a Fire Sprite (tho the horns and pitchfork don't help matters) but his awkward love-lorn persona in the cartoons was rather endearing I thought and its a shame we haven't heard much about him since the very beginning of the Zelfs journey. Still well done Lil' D your not the least liked Z1 Zelf this year for a change!

82 - FROSTETTE (2016 - 69th) 42pts -
The Cupcake Zelf herself slips a little in the Rankings this year. Its hard to believe that two years ago she was 11th in the Rankings. Wow, that's quite a drop in just two years. I do think she's probably lost in the crowd so to speak, as two years ago she was new and different with her diachrmoatic eyes and whipped icing eyebrows, she's a cutie pie really and I don't exactly remember if she was particularly pungent, her scent wasn't the least liked by all (Beetrice we looking at you Gurlfriend) but as newer and newer Zelfs have come along I think she's gotten lost in the pudding mix.

81 - WISHKA (2016 - 102nd) 42pts -
Well I must say I'm surprised by this result seeing as Wishka was the lowest placed Zelf last year and I fully expected her to be at the bottom of the pile this year too, but due to a magic wish she's done remarkably well this year, coming in at a respectable position. Well done Wishka, you've charmed some of us for sure. I can't help feeling her bland colour scheme and rather plain design hinders her somewhat though. But for now, keep wishing to get to the top!

80 - CYRIL (2016 - 42nd) 42pts -
Cyril the Squirrel drops again in the Rankings this year, seemingly forgetting which way to run up the tree and running downwards instead. I do however think that Cyril is well liked, but maybe was in a tricky group in Round 1 perhaps or again might be one of those you kinda forget about, especially amongst the more colourful Zeries 4 Zelfs. This nutter may have hibernated too long this time round, but I think he's one that will do well in years to come anyway. I wish he had a great big bushy tail though, not that plastic tail. All in all, Nice one Cyril!

79 - BEETRICE (2016 - 68th) 43pts -
The BumbleBee Zelf herzelf takes the next spot on our list. Oh Beetz gurl, without that smell you'd have done so much better I'm sure! It was rather pungent and overpowering wasn't it? All in all, she's a cute Zelf but I think coming out with a playset and not being part of a regular set maybe contributes to her score, but I do rather think its all about the scent with this one and like a bad smell that lingers, she's never gonna be able to shake that off.

78 - BELLAFLY (2016 - 62nd) 43pts -
The last of the ZFF trio, Bellafly flies into 78th place this year, overtaking her friends as the most liked of the Butterfly Friends Forever set. Her white and purple colour scheme is lovely, much preferred over Butterluv's pink and Buddykin's crazy green. I don't think the ZFF's are ever going to be top 30 but I liked the idea of having seperate Zelf sets from now to now, if only they hadn't discontinued them. But fly high Bellafly.

77 - OWLMANDA (2016 - 96th) 43pts -
Well here's a turn up for the books, and one surprise for me definitely as next up is Owlmanda, the Zeries 2 Owl Zelf. Two years ago she was bottom 5, last year in the bottom 10 but this year has managed to overtake 47 other Zelfs! Whit woo! Now whilst I admit she's one of my least fave Z2 Zelfs, and I do adore Owls in general, she just doesn't really do much for me at all despite a fairly nice face mold and wings etc, she was the first bird Zelf and I think her colour scheme is totally wrong and the lack of beak doesn't help her either. But I am pleased that she's done so well this year considering.

76 - ROYAL TIA (New Entry) 45pts -
Gliding down the red carpet, we have Royal Tia who's another that's surprised me with her ranking. We've seen the Princess theme before and the pink colour scheme is once again over-done, and I had rather thought that other's in her Zeries would have beaten her in higher rankings, like Cheffrey and Evett etc, but apparently I am wrong and she is liked by some. Her main problem is that we have seen this theme one time too many already but we'll see how she does next year as this is her first, so well done for getting so far.

75 - DAISY MAY (2016 - 50th) 46pts -
The flowering beauty has wilted a little this year, and I think that's probably because we have newer Zelfs that have stayed in our heads more, so Daisy has drooped a little this time round. I like her yellow/green combo and the petal head is rather endearing isn't it? But in a Zeries with more memorable critters and in the overall sense, its unlikely that she'd have bloomed bigger and brighter year on year. She needs a little more water and sunshine next time.

74 - WISHBEAM (New Entry) 47pts -
A remarkable start for the Wishing Zelf considering, she's done well to get so high really. Wishbeam's another one I think will get lost fairly easily, she doesn't have much that makes her stand out at all, her colouring is fairly bland, and apart from the giant bow, she doesn't have much else going for her. We've seen the wish theme a few times already so she doesn't necessarily add anything new and also came out with some stand-out Zelfs like Rein-Doe and Howlie, so sadly Wishbeam you'll need to do some serious wishing to do better.

73 - PANDELA (2016 - 74th) 51pts -
The sweet looking Panda Zelf has done what so few Zelfs have done this year, actually virtually stayed in exactly the same place in the rankings! So awesome job Pandela! She came in second to last a few years ago, so she's done ever so well to beat out a fair few other Zelfs to keep climbing the bamboo forest. I fully expect her to keep climbing year on year. I can also see her with a reboot of some sort in the future, maybe getting a Crystal version or adding some purple to her black/white scheme perhaps?

72 - MANNY (2016 - 32nd) 53pts -
Ooops Manny has dropped quite a bit from last year which is a bit of a shocker to me. I generally thought he was well liked by most of us, but sadly dropped out in Round 1 this time round. Oh Manny! The cute mold, and little horns with the teal/gold colour combo is lovely, and obv's as the mascot of Moose Toys, I fully expected them to push Manny onto us in one way or another but after his initial debut he hasn't been really, aside from the Rainbow Moose which uses the same mold, Manny has been rather quiet hasn't he?

71 - SPELLINDA (2016 - 13th) 54pts -
Another big shocker for me is Spellinda's disastrous spell in this this year's Rankings. Going from 13th all the way to 71st is a big drop for the Witchy Zelf, who most people consider the quintessential Zelf. She's the first Zelf we probably all saw at the beginning and has been in various forms since the beginning, getting a Masquerade and Scented version to boot. I'm not sure what has gone wrong for her this year, and I guess I'm a lil' sad to see her so low, maybe next year Spellz, until then keep practising your spells to enchant us all.

70 - WHIZZKAS (2016 - 34th) 54pts -
The winged Kitten Zelf did very well last year, just missing out on the top 30 in her first year so it was inevitable she would take a tumble this year. The white kitten is a bit of a mixed bag really, her mold is more lion-like to me than kitten, and whilst I like the added wing motif and tail, her colours are just okayish - maybe she could be rebooted sometime soon, but overall well done for doing well.  

69 - TY FOON (2016 - 66th) 54pts -
TY maintains roughly the same position as last year, and I know Snowanne will be disappointed at this, but the Storm Zelf seemingly isn't as popular as we may think unfortunately. I don't think there's anything to do to improve him really, but maybe his dark colouring doesn't make him stand out so much, despite his loveable grump personality and thunder/lightning theme. Storm clouds are circling, but Ty's flash of lightning isn't bright enough for us to be dazzled.

68 - FROSTELLE (New Entry) 56pts -
A respectable if somewhat lower than expected ranking for this Frosty Zelf's first foray into the Rankings. I remember when we first saw her, we all went 'wow!' at her beauty, and now I have her, she is lovely to look at, so I guess I am a little surprised she hasn't scored higher. With her icy blue colour and white frosty elements, along with crystallized wings and head, she is striking enough, so we'll see how she does year on year.

67 - ROBERTA (2016 - 65th) 60pts - 
The lil' Robot Zelf manages to stay in virtually the same position as last year, which is some feat really. Roberta's one of those 'marmite' characters, some love her and some don't, and for me her plus points include her mold and personality with the little touches like the bolts and cogs added, unfortunately they decided to make her pink (why?) when she'd have been hella cute in silvers and baby blues instead. The company really need to consult us Zelfies for advice sometimes, and she's one Zelf I truly think would have made an excellent large version of her also. 

66 - BUBBLEE (2016 - 86th) 60pts - 
In theory Bubblee has technically been the highest climber this year so far I think, jumping a huge 20 places from last year which is surprising. Another, liked by some but not all Zelf she has a lovely pink translucent body and those bubbles on her head go well with her bubblegum theme, and she smelled kinda sweet too which helps for sure, her only downside is that she is plain coloured, in....'pink' what else? Haha. Though I'm not sure what I would suggest to change her really. The bubble hasn't burst with this pink pixie so far. 

65 - DOROTHY DOE (2016 - 51st) 66pts -
As the highest scoring Zelf in the first round, Dodo as she's affectionately called by some, has only dropped a little this time round. As the plainest Zelf in a rather good series I think, she doesn't jump out at ya, as some others do so that could be a contributing factor to her downfall. But all in all, I think she's well liked which shows I think in her only dropping a few places year on year, unlike some who have spectacularly nose-dived this year and losing tons of points. Dodo just gracefully come on leaps and bounds. 

End of Round 1. Any big shockers here. Some I would say are surprises for sure, but as yet I haven't been completely shocked overall. How about you??? Tomorrow I'll start the Countdown for the 2nd Round, where it'll get tougher to see some Zelfs go out at this point. Hope you're enjoying reading this anyhow.  

44 - SEALIA (2016 - 73rd) 62 + 22 pts -
A bit of a turn up for the books, Sealia has jumped a whole 30 odd places this year! Wow! The seahorse Zelf has an adorable face mold and I do actually like her colouring too, the pinks and blues compliment her so well. For the last two years she has been near the bottom of the pile so to see her swin up to the middle this year round is a sure welcome! I can totally see a crystal version of her in the future too, but for now she's blowing bubbles!

43 - FLAMY (2016 - 54th) 55 + 23 pts -
Another little climber this year sees original Series Flamy the Dragon Zelf make a marked improvement year on year. I don't know what has warranted this, I wonder if the nostalgia of being Z1 gives these Zelfs from the beginning a little advantage. The First Zeries Zelfs (aside from Spellinda's massive drop and Buttershy/Lil' D who always come last in these rankings) seem to do well year on year when you'd expect them to fall by the wayside really as more and more Zelfs come into play. So well done Flamy, you've done yourzelf proud!

42 - JEWELY (2016 - 45th) 55 + 23 pts -
The Limited Editon Zelf from Series 2 dazzles her way into a similar placing from last year. I'm pleased for her really, she's a lil' stunner really with her red crystallised head and body, with the gold highlights she sure does sparkle! I think sometimes that the simpler Zelfs are the better really, as compared to the likes of Pearleen and Mary who have a lot of detail but fared worse than Jewely, who is relatively simple in design, the more we find faults with them. Jewely certainly is a gem to behold!

41 - FLITTER (2016 - 55th) 57 + 23 pts -
Another one who climbs year on year is the Dragonfly Zelf from Zeries 2 who jumps 14 places and lands in this next spot. He's one I think has benefitted over the years with an added variant, the Zelicious variant with added yellow was a surprise to us all, and the scent of pineapples was delicious and ripe! And it seems he has a fair few fans out there anyway, time to swish and swoop and flitter your way to the top next year perhaps?

40 - CANDY LOU (2016 - 46th) 70 + 23 pts -
Next up, the sweet themed Candy girl hits the sweet spot of 40th, a slight turn up from last years score. Candy's one of those you just can't help but like, despite the abundance of pink which can't be helped, she has a cute face and sticky head piece, and the candy cane bows, and stripes in her hair add to her overall sweetness. It seems we all want Candy, and we want her to do well. Can you imagine if she'd come with a lollipop play set too? I can!

39 - CHEEKY TIKI (2016 - 81st) 50 + 24 pts -
The loveable Zelicious Zelf from the Beach scene climbs an extraordinary 42 places this year which is a great achievement considering! Teeks was top 30 just two years ago, so he's seemingly poised to make a triumphant return at this rate! A bit of a rollercoaster ride some might say, from 30 down to 81 and back up to 39, CT must be doing something right! Maybe its the bang of his bongo, which has snared us? The brown and pink combo is maybe a little plain or vanilla some may say, I think he could afford a bit more colour but the tribal markings is lovely and his wings are leafly too.

38 - ANGEL HOP (New Entry) 58 + 27 pts -
Very impressive, this angel bunny hops into a strong starting position which is heavenly to behold! She's one I wasn't too sure on at first, an Angel Bunny? Who thought of that??? But she sure has struck gold, and is adorable when you see her up close. The Series 6 mediums have done remarkably well overall, we still have another 6 to go in this ranking, so its clear Zelfs are still popular! Sitting pretty amongst the clouds, Angel Hop should be proud to have gotten this far.

37 - SEW-ANNE (2016 - 78th) 49 + 28 pts -
The cute and cuddly Sew-Anne (so much better than Soanne isn't it?) takes up a comfortable and cosy position this year, and really is the teddy who's ready! With her cute medium variant and rocking chair play set, she has clambered to her best position yet. Maybe she makes us feel warm and fuzzy with her beige and light brown colouring (not the greatest fan of the added pink in her medium version, but I can deal with it) I love her stitching and cute button motif. Sew bearing in mind, lets see how well she does next time?

36 - GALEXIA (2016 - 29th) 62 + 29 pts -
It seems inevitable that whilst for the last two years Galexia has been out of this world, hitting the top 30 she has landed with a big bang at 36th place this year, but I think that's great that she hasn't spun out of orbit and 36 is still quite respectable. I love her purply-pink colour combo with the space theme, and those antennae are literally the cutest ever! In short, she absolutely rocks! I kinda see her as a mysterious space traveller come to spy on the Zelfs, but she is universally loved by most of us it seems!

35 - PETAL (2016 - 31st) 64 + 29 pts -
The shy little garden fairy manages to stay in bloom two years on the bounce, roughly equaling her last ranking. The green goblin has a sweet personality, with her green and purple theme, spiked ears and hair and pixie antennae she is going nowhere! I know Snowzy will be happy with this score, as she's one of her faves! She ranks as the 3rd favourite of Zeries 3 mediums, with only two of her fellow Zelfs left in the contest, she's flying pretty high.

34 - FLOAT (2016 - 24th) 107 + 29 pts -
Fellow Z3 Zelf Float is up next, and whilst she's always been a fave of ours, she has slipped a little in this years ranking. But she still has plenty of fans I know, with her cotton candy coloured theme, and delicate colours she is pastelly perfect in every way! The polar opposite of her twin brother Ty Foon, she is sweet and carefree and as they say in her bio, every cloud has a silver lining, Float can do no wrong!

33 - CATSBY (2016 - 21st) 66 + 30 pts -
Alas it was not meant to be, one of my absolute favourites (those of you who have known me for a few years will know why!) has unfortunately dropped a little in the rankings this year. The mysterious kitty Zelf hasn't landed on his feet this time round, but all in all I think he's done well. It could have been a lot worse for sure! No need to feel blue though, to me he is the cats whiskers for sure! Better luck next time, but for miaow, he can curl up and sleep until its time to solve the next mystery and mew adventures!

32 - PEEK A BOO (New Entry) 71 + 30 pts -
I ain't afraid of no ghost! And it seems you lot aren't either as the little spectre assumes this high ranking debut. I think many of us had been waiting for a ghost Zelf to appear, and Peeks certainly doesn't disappoint! The colours are lovely, with the clear whispy tail an excellent addition, the only thing that would make her better is perhaps if she had glowed in the dark! Time to break those chains gurl, coz you've not scared us off yet. The ghost with the most I have a feeling will do even better next year!

31 - MOONICORN (2016 - 19th) 50pts -
The elusive Midnight Unicorn just misses out of the top 30, but this dark indigo beauty with her gorgeous colour scheme and shiny pink horn, and blue crystal horseshoe is a shoe in for returning to the top ranks in years to come! I think we'd all agree she's one stunning looking Zelf and the midnight theme is truly enchanting. Once again the Crystal Gemz have proven themselves to be popular all round, with her fellow Zelfs Starkle and Moona still in the running, Mooni's always going to be a whinner. Her cute curly tail is the mane attraction, and she's hot to trot!

and so we come to the final 12, for which there can only be one winner. This year saw Angelala, Birchy, Cleocat, Deeno, Garny, Howlie, Lochlan, Lunanne, Moonflight, Noodles, Sketalia and Starkle battling it out to be the 2017 champion of champions so now we'll see which Zelf we ultimately chose....

12 - STARKLE (2016 - 8th) 62 + 48 + 33 + 36 pts -
Well unfortunately for our little Wizard Zelf it won't be him, as he came in twelfth this year. As my fellow namesake, I am pleased to see him do quite well two years on the trot. He's only slipped 4 places this year so it coulda been a lot worse (although I am a little sad he's not in the top 10). I absolutely adore this little fella, with his cute gloves and cape, and being two of my fave colours blue and purple with the crystal gem, he sure does sparkle like the stars that adorn him. I'd love to have a large version of him one day, complete with a starry wizard's hat. But for now Starkle has used up his magic, and I'll hope he does even better next year.

11 - LOCHLAN (2016 - 9th) 71 + 39 + 32 + 38 pts -
For the first time in two years sees the Loch Ness cutie himself fall just outside the top 10. Again whilst its a real shame, I can understand it too. With all these new Zelfs coming along some of our favourites are bound to not do as well as expected. Poor Lochlan though! He's rather popular isn't he, and should be applauded for getting in the top 12 again. With his teal and hot pinks, antennae and tail, he's a rather lovely looking Zelf and although we haven't seen much from him since his release, he has still struck a chord with us after all this time. No need to hide at the bottom of the lake Lochy, time to leap out of the water and into the spotlight.

10 - LUNANNE (2016 - 77th) 63 + 29 + 33 + 39 pts -
Wowsers! Lunanne has taken a massive leap of her own, moving up a colossal 67 places and landing herself in 10th place this year! One small step for Lunanne, one massive step for Zelf-kind! I'm actually surprised how well she's done overall, considering she's one who is barely been features in Zelf merchandise or the cartoons since the beginning. She's an original Zeries 1 so that works in her favour, and I know she'll be over the moon to land here in the top 10. Her beautiful blue, white and yellow colouring is adorable and I know one or two people will be very pleased to see how well she's done! Nothing eclipses our Loony!

9 - HOWLIE (New Entry) 62 + 39 + 37 + 39 pts -
Almost a top 5 contender until the last couple of votes, see's the little grey wolf make his mark for the first time in the rankings. He consistently came top for most of his battle rounds, and I'm not surprised to see why. He is rather remarkable isn't he? The grey and black colour scheme, the fur and paws, the stripey hair all make him stand out and I'm glad to see he's as beloved as I love him. Definitely one of the best of the Series 6's, he seems like one that could be popular for years to come. Time to step out of the shadows, and howl at the moon my little Wolfie. A-wooooooooooo!

8 - CLEOCAT (2016 - 1st) 68 + 47 + 39 + 40 pts -
Well here's the first clue we have a new winner this year, as last years successor passes on the baton graciously. This lil' glamour puss, with her dazzling black and gold combo, has seemingly given up the throne this year so she can have a cat-nap for sure! I'm not surprised to see her remain in the top 10 for three years running, but I'm a lil' surprised to see her even this low actually. This Egyptian feline hasn't been 'feline' the love as much as she did last year! But who knows next year she could regain the crown and be the cats whiskers once again, but for now we bow at the feet of our darling Cleocat!

7 - DEENO (2016 - 10th) 74 + 38 + 33 + 41 pts -
From the stomping of his feet, to the roar from his belly, here comes Deeno the Dinosaur Zelf! One of my faves and yours it seems, he's stomped his way up the charts three years in a row, to his best score yet! Well done Deeno! I absolutely love this guy, his lime green with colourful highlights, show what a bright stand-out Dino Deeno truly is! I'd be ecstatic to see a medium of him one day or even a Crystal variant with little crystal paw, how adorable would that be? The Zeries 3 Larges' triumvirate of Deeno, Noodles and Marsha are the most beloved of the Larges I think, they've always been the top large Zelfs, so there's no running away from this dinosaur!

6 - MOONFLIGHT (New Entry) 70 + 38 + 33 + 42 pts -
A last minute vote saw this brand new Zeries 6 Zelf the highest new entry in this year's rankings! Moonflight has certainly made an impression on us all. She and Howlie were the top two Z6's without doubt throughout the whole competition, but at the very last point she grabbed a couple more points to land in 6th spot. With her striking dark purple colouring, and the added black, pink and azure accessories, this lunar Moth or Midnight Butterfly as she's called, is no longer in the dark and made her way to the light of the champions. Time to take flight my lovely, spread your wings and do a lap of honour, as the highest new entrant in the Zelf rankings this year!

So that means we still have Angelala, Birchy, Garny, Noodles and Sketalia remaining, has your fave made it to the top, who will be the winner??? Tune in tomorrow for the last result.....

First of all Congratulations Sketalia! A very worthy winner! We've had a really strong top 20 this year and I'm so glad to see a lot of my favourites there. Ofcourse some of my other favourites didn't make it but With over 100 zelfs in the running, the competition is tough and the final 12 just goes to show that.

Overall I must admit I'm not overly surprised by this years results, However I'm definetly surprised to see Angelala and Garny jump so high up the chart this year and a little saddened that some of my other favourites didn't score so well - Royal P, Oceanna, Cyril and OFCOURSE Ty. Ty seemed to be adored when he first came out in series 3, but since then he has dropped dramatically. Don't worry Ty, Me and Luna still love you! Speaking of Luna, I'm so so proud of her making it to the top 10. *happy tear*

Snowphie and Snap Jack definetly surprised me this year too. We all know they are popular so I was expecting them both to make top 10 instead they fell just outside of it. Still a good position all things considered, but certainly taken a a tumble. Also, I am surprised with Cheffrey and Baabera. I didn't expect them to be high up but I didn't expect to see them so low down either.

Lastly you deserve a medal for this Starkle. So much to type up and the little blurbs and puns you come with for each one are adorable.

I've no doubt I've missed a few off here, but its interesting to me to see it like this, it shows that the Series 3 Larges were popular, whereas the Z6 Larges weren't popular at all, and we seem to favour the Crystal Gems from Z5 more-so than the Zeries 6 crystals!
